💸 $19K in Unpaid Fencing Work — UBS Fails to Pay RJL Group
The RJL Group — consisting of RJL Fencing Pty Ltd and RJL Commercial Fencing and Gates (Vic) Pty Ltd — is publicly addressing a serious ongoing payment issue with Unique Building Services Pty Ltd (UBS).
Despite our teams delivering high-quality fencing and gate installations across two separate UBS-managed sites, we are still owed over $19,000 in unpaid invoices. This amount excludes the countless hours spent by our administrative and operations staff chasing payments, managing documents, and attempting to resolve the matter in good faith.
UBS has not only refused to pay the final balances, but has also established a clear pattern of late payments throughout the duration of our engagements — impacting our cash flow and scheduling.

Installation of front flat-top picket fencing
Fabrication and installation of a large sliding louvred gate
Supply and commissioning of gate automation
Full intercom system installed and integrated
Despite works being completed the balance remains unpaid.

Address: Settlement Road, Thomastown (Melbourne)
Company Invoiced: RJL Commercial Fencing and Gates (Vic) Pty Ltd
Works Completed:
Removal and disposal of existing fence lines, gates, and overgrown vegetation
Supply and installation of new pressed speartop security fencing
Fabrication and installation of two matching sliding security gates
Again, full delivery was made as contracted, yet we have not been paid.

We’ve made repeated attempts to resolve this privately — through emails, phone calls, and even proposed mediation. UBS has ignored those efforts, leaving us no option but to speak publicly.
This isn’t just about money — it’s about respect for trades.
Tradespeople build this country. We work long hours, in tough conditions, using skill, experience, and precision to deliver quality results for builders, developers, and clients. When we don’t get paid, we don’t get to feed our families. We can’t pay our team. We can’t run our business.
