The Australian Open is one of the world’s most prestigious tennis tournaments, attracting thousands of fans, players, and media from around the globe. Behind the scenes, a massive logistical effort goes into preparing the venue to ensure everything runs smoothly, especially when it comes to site modifications and safety upgrades. In 2024, we were proud to be part of this exciting process, helping with the removal and renewal of fencing at the tournament site.
Preparing for the Main Staging Area
Our involvement began with the critical task of removing all existing fencing around the venue. The goal was to clear the space for the main staging area, which would accommodate media, VIPs, and operational staff during the tournament. This required meticulous planning and coordination, as we had to work seamlessly alongside hundreds of other tradespeople involved in the event setup.
Precision in Removal: Marking and Crane Lifting
Every fencing panel was individually marked to ensure a smooth and organized removal process. This attention to detail was essential because the panels needed to be carefully crane-lifted out of the site without causing damage or delays. Our team coordinated closely with crane operators and site managers to ensure each panel was safely and efficiently removed, all while adhering to strict safety protocols.
