Clear, fair policy for returns, exchanges and warranty claims with RJL Commercial Fencing & Gates (VIC) Pty Ltd.
Quick Summary
- Change-of-mind: return within 14 days of delivery, items must be unused, unopened, in original packaging. Restocking fee may apply (see Fees).
- Faulty / DOA: contact us promptly with evidence; we’ll assess and provide repair, replacement or refund per Australian Consumer Law.
- Custom, fabricated or cut-to-length products: not eligible for change-of-mind returns unless faulty.
- Installed goods: once installed/used on site, only warranty/ACL outcomes apply.
Eligibility
- Proof of purchase (invoice/receipt).
- Within the relevant time window (see Timeframes).
- All accessories, manuals and parts included.
- No use/installation/modification (for change-of-mind returns).
Condition of Goods
- Original packaging undamaged and suitable for resale.
- No wear, marks, fastener holes or weathering.
- Electrical/automation items unregistered and unused.
Timeframes
- Change-of-mind: 14 days from delivery.
- DOA/Faulty on arrival: notify within 7 days of delivery.
- Warranty claims: per product warranty; contact us as soon as an issue is identified.
How to Start a Return
- Email info@rjlcommercialgroup.com with order number, item, reason and photos/video.
- Wait for an RMA approval with return instructions.
- Pack securely; ship with tracking (or arrange drop-off if approved).
Fees & Refund Method
- Restocking: up to 15% for change-of-mind returns. Not charged for approved faulty/DOA.
- Return shipping: customer pays for change-of-mind; RJL covers reasonable costs for authorised faulty/DOA.
- Refunds issued to original payment method after inspection/approval.
Non-Returnable Items (Unless Faulty)
- Custom-built gates, fabricated panels, powder-coated items in custom colours.
- Cut-to-length materials, special-order parts.
- Electrical/automation components that have been installed, programmed or registered.
- Items not in original condition or missing components.
Warranty & Australian Consumer Law
Our goods and services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law (ACL). You’re entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and to compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You’re also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.
Manufacturer warranties may apply to certain products (e.g., automation motors, controllers). We assist with claim lodgement and remedy in accordance with the warranty terms and the ACL.
