Chris Alebakis, owner of RJL Commercial Fencing and Gates (VIC), has been named an Industry Legend at the 2025 Australian Fencing Awards.
More than 35 years in the fencing industry
Chris is recognised across Melbourne's fencing sector for long-standing trade leadership, strong client relationships and a consistent commitment to quality, while remaining actively involved on site.
The award acknowledges a career built on practical experience, dependable delivery and relationships that have lasted across decades of change in the fencing and gate industry.
A family-led legacy
A key part of Chris's legacy is the family-led business he built with his son Jarrod. RJL now spans aligned divisions across commercial fencing and gates, concreting, and electrical services supporting automation and related works.
That combined capability allows RJL to coordinate the structure, power, controls and ongoing support required for modern commercial perimeter-security projects.
Still turning up on site
Despite more than 35 years in the trade, Chris remains closely connected to project delivery and the people behind the work. The Industry Legend recognition reflects both his contribution to the sector and the standards that continue to shape RJL today.
